Clearbrook-Gonvick Graduation
May 23rd, 2026
Today I had the honor of handing out diplomas to the Clearbrook-Gonvick class of 2026! I also had the opportunity to hear the Choir and Band play and hear my daughter sing!
I have been a member of the Clearbrook- Gonvick school board since 2020, and I’ve served multiple terms as the board Chairman, it’s been a great privilege to serve on the board. Serving on the School board has helped prepare me for the leadership role of Sheriff by teaching me more about budgets, working with board members and working with the public in general. Both roles require managing multi-million dollar budgets, handling sensitive personnel issues, navigating complex public policy, and dealing directly with the concerns of local taxpayers

Progressive Agricultural Safety Day + 2026 Spring Cleanup
May 12th, 2026

Yesterday was a really fun day, it started off with me participating in the annual Progressive Agriculture safety day hosted by the Clearwater County Extension Office. Students from Clearbrook-Gonvick, Bagley, FHL Academy, Win-E-Mac, and Fosston Schools came in to learn about farm safety. I have ran the roll over simulator for the last 3 years, the simulator is designed to show the students what can happen if they (or their families) don’t practice safe driving habits!

Following Ag Safety day, the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Reserve did our Spring ditch cleanup! We recovered about 21 bags of trash from our 2 mile stretch of highway 92!

Clearwater County GOP Meeting
April, 21st, 2026

On April 21st, I was invited to meet with the Clearwater County GOP party to meet them and to answer their questions related to my campaign and how I would run the Sheriff’s Office.
They had a lot of good questions and I really appreciate the opportunity to meet with them.

Sheriff's Day at the Minnesota Capitol
March 6th, 2026

This week, Sheriff Halverson and I traveled to the Minnesota State Capitol to participate in Minnesota Sheriffs’ Day. It was a great opportunity to connect with sheriffs from across Minnesota and discuss issues that impact public safety and our local communities.
